Careers

Let’s start with you.

You may want to make a career in Public Relations.
Or Management Consultancy.
Or Communications Training.
Or Administration.

You may have an MBA, a degree in journalism or communications.
Or no degree at all.

You may want a career change, have taken early retirement – or be in Transition Year at school.

But you’ve heard something about Carr Communications and figure we might be worth an approach.

If so, you need to know what the rest of this website will tell you.
And a little more about careers in our company.

Careers. Not jobs.

Yes, of course, some talented people join Carr Communications for a while and go on to another company or another country. Some even set up their own companies.

Most of our people, though, see Carr Communications as offering them the scope for a full and varied career.

We pick the brightest and best. We push them to develop their potential. We train our people. We hold Wednesday Morning Breakfasts to share news across our Divisions and to hear guest speakers talk on interesting topics. We provide incentives to fitness: Pilates on site.

We’re also demanding. Officially, our offices in Northumberland Road open at 6.am. Unofficially, we’re often here before that. Many of us don’t get to leave until well past rush-hour. If a client has a crisis at a weekend or on a Bank Holiday, we go to work.

  • Our work is highly confidential. It’s based on trust. Integrity matters to us.

  • Our work is highly individual. It brings out the best in people. So good listening matters to us.

  • Our work is tough. We deal with individuals and companies in crisis. So resilience and optimism and commitment matter to us.

We hire people who have boundless enthusiasm, loads of ambition, and who are fun to work with.

Even if we don’t have a vacancy at the moment, e-mail us your CV and a letter telling us how our business would improve if you joined us.
