Preparing for Structured and Competency-Based Interviews

Highly structured and competency-based interviews are now becoming the norm and Carr Communications has driven the move from theory to practice, developing, testing and introducing such interview approaches in a wide range of public and private sector bodies. Competency-based interviews present the job applicant, in advance of the face-to-face encounter, with a precise list of the competencies on which they will be judged.

Accordingly, preparation for such interviews is markedly different to that required for traditional unstructured interviews. Carr Communications prepares executives at all levels for such interviews. This session takes you through the entire process so there are no surprises.

THE SESSION

We will record a full interview. The interview will be based on your current CV, your application form and the specific competencies from the job specification. This serves as the basis for a detailed assessment and feedback, from which will come concrete specific guidelines.
