Judith joined Carr Communications’ PR Division in early 2008. With over seven years’ experience working in communications, she provides consultancy services to a range of key clients in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. Judith’s proven track record in strategic communications, media relations, event management and crisis management includes a number of major national events and information campaigns. Working closely with their senior management teams, she manages communication strategies from initial development through to implementation.
Since joining Carr Communications, Judith has played a central role in a series of award-winning projects. A media relations campaign for the Capuchin Day Centre for homeless people achieved significant national and international coverage and won Best Media Relations Campaign at the 2010 Awards for Excellence in Public Relations. Most recently, the FlightFest campaign for the Irish Aviation Authority won Best Event at the 2014 Awards for Excellence in Public Relations. Another project Judith managed for the White Ribbon Campaign on behalf of the Men’s Development Network was shortlisted and highly commended under the Best Communications Campaign by a Charity or Not-for-Profit Organisation category at the 2014 Awards.
Judith has strong experience in event management and in 2011, she was Co-Chair of the Exhibition and Sponsorship Committee for the Joint Virtual Reality Conference (JVRC), held at the University of Nottingham in the UK – a large international event, hosted annually by leading Research Institutes across Europe.
Judith holds a BA (Hons.) in Media Arts from Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). She also has a Diploma in Event Management (Dip. Event Man.) from the Fitzwilliam Institute and is a full member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (MPRII). Prior to joining Carr Communications, Judith worked with television station Shaw TV in Vancouver, Canada.
